CitySavvy wins two Corporate Engagement Awards
LONDON and AMSTERDAM – 21 July 2011 – CitySavvy, the pan-European financial and corporate communications agency, won two prestigious awards in this week’s Corporate Engagement Awards 2011. The agency won silver in the Best community involvement in sponsorship activity category and bronze in the Best arts-centred corporate sponsorship activity award.
This is the inaugural year for the Corporate Engagement Awards which were established by Communicate magazine. The awards are designed to recognise the benefits of corporate partnerships, sponsorship and philanthropy and provide a benchmark for excellence in corporate engagement.
The Corporate Engagement Awards were judged by a jury of sponsorship, CSR and partnership experts, communications practitioners and academics. Judges included representatives from World Television, QBE, Southern Railway, Unicorn Theatre, O2 and BFT. The judges’ criteria took strategy, execution and results into consideration and evaluated on a point scoring system.
The entries had to prove that there was a clear demonstration of what the corporate engagement was designed for and wanted to achieve. Applicants also needed to demonstrate to what extent the programme pursued its strategy, as well as how effective it was in implementation. The entry had to show how thoroughly the organisation measured the success and return on investment and how mutually beneficial the relationship was.
“We are really thrilled to have been recognised with these two awards,” says Adrian Simpson, Head of UK Corporate Communications, ING Commercial Banking. ”It reflects the hard work we have put in together with CitySavvy to make the ING Discerning Eye a success. This sponsorship is an integral part of ING’s wider CSR activities involving the arts. We are committed to encouraging interest in the arts and generating opportunities and accessibility for all in this field.”
