CITYSAVVY NAMED "ONE TO WATCH" BY PR WEEK
Agency debuts in top 150 UK agencies just 2.5 years after founding
London, 25 April, 2008 – CitySavvy, the international financial and corporate communications agency, was this week recognised by leading UK PR industry publication PR Week as ‘One to Watch’ in 2008. Based on its UK revenues, CitySavvy ranked number 149 after just two and a half years of trading, appearing in the publication’s Top 150 PR Consultancies league table for the first time.
The One to Watch accolade was awarded to CitySavvy as part of the publication’s annual industry review. The league table is the definitive industry survey recognising the UK’s leading PR firms. CitySavvy was also shortlisted for the European Excellence Awards’ Newcomer Agency of the Year award in 2007.
“We’re thrilled that our hard work since our launch in October 2005 has been recognised by PR Week,” says Jana Sanchez, Managing Director of CitySavvy. “We have developed an enviable client base, a talented team with true pan-European expertise and we expect this growth to continue over the foreseeable future.”
It was CitySavvy’s exponential growth that caught PR Week’s attention. Since its launch CitySavvy has expanded from its five founding directors to a 21-strong team with offices in London and Amsterdam. Furthermore, revenues have grown by 69 per cent to just over £1.3m in the past 12 months alone.
The growth was further celebrated in December with expansion into a three-floor townhouse in Covent Garden. CitySavvy specialises in financial services, energy, leisure and property, FMCG and industrial sectors. The company has also enjoyed major account wins; among the client roster are ING, Shell, Coca Cola, Hagemeyer, Riverside and three new client gains in Dubai. CitySavvy’s work for Coca-Cola recently helped the client win a merit award from the International Association of Business Communicators in the 2008 Gold Quill Awards.
