CitySavvy appointed to advise European Multilateral Clearing Facility (EMCF) for

European-wide campaign

 

London 21 September, 2009 – CitySavvy, the pan-European financial and corporate communications agency, has been appointed by Amsterdam-based European Multilateral Clearing Facility (EMCF) to provide pan-European PR support.

EMCF is an equity central counter party clearing house (CCP) which clears around 1.8m executions per day in twelve European territories. It is currently the second largest equity CCP in Europe by volume and has a strategy of price leadership.

The CitySavvy team will comprise Anne Louise Van Lynden van Sandenburg, Managing Director of CitySavvy’s Amsterdam office and London-based Director, Ruth Reynolds.

EMCF majority shareholders include Fortis Bank (Nederland) N.V. and OMX AB (100% owned by Nasdaq Inc.) EMCF provides CCP services for BATS Europe, Chi-X Europe, Nasdaq OMX Europe, QUOTE MTF as well as Nasdaq OMX Nordic. EMCF clearing volumes represent around 26% of total European equity volumes, ranking it Europe’s second largest cash equities CCP.
