CitySavvy and Mattmo shed light on annual reporting in round table event
Communications experts from Dutch multinationals gather to discuss the latest trends and developments
Amsterdam, September 1, 2009 – CitySavvy and design partner Mattmo today hosted a round table with communications managers from over a dozen Holland-based multinationals to discuss strategic and practical approached to their annual reports. The discussion addressed the ever more challenging requirements for corporate disclosure and considered practical ways in which companies can deliver better annual reports through a well-managed production process.
Matt Gower, Managing Director of the CitySavvy UK office explained: “Companies learn a lot from each other by comparing notes and sharing experiences. As they gear up for the next reporting season it’s important they take the time to think strategically about their Annual Reports, how they can improve them and how they want them to evolve over time.”
Mattmo Account Director and Partner Matthijs Tammes subsequently talked about managing the production process of a good annual report, reducing stress and saving costs. Matthijs: “Creativity needs management. And while new media channels offer more and more solutions, they shouldn’t take over the process! That’s why we argue for a content-driven perspective, instead of a media-driven one. Our Annual Report Tool makes this easy to manage.”
“Adding value while presenting your key figures is what a good annual report is all about,” Monique Mulder, Strategy Director and Partner at Mattmo, said in her speech. “The connection between figures and feel of your company, that’s the economic value of strategic design.”
