Asset-Ex selects CitySavvy to manage European launch

LONDON and AMSTERDAM – 6 April 2011 -- CitySavvy was appointed by Asset-Ex, the first global online marketplace for buying and selling business assets that contains a virtual data room, to manage its European launch.

Asset-Ex was founded by a group of former bankers specialising in M&A and wealth management and backed by George Koukis, Chairman of Temenos (SIX: TEMN), the world’s leading supplier of packaged banking software. The site launched on April 5 across Europe, with a focus on the UK, France, the Benelux, Nordics and Switzerland. Asset-Ex is based in Geneva.

The site allows corporate M&A teams, private equity professionals, venture capital experts, investment bankers and entrepreneurs to sign up and trade business assets or companies online. The website is unique in that it provides access to the virtual data room a facility more often associated with blue-chip banks.

“We have been very impressed with the approach CitySavvy have taken with such an innovative service as Asset-Ex. We were drawn to CitySavvy’s wide knowledge of and experience within the financial services sector as well as their international approach,” says Jamie Apold founder of Asset-Ex.

The account for Asset-Ex is being managed by Jana Sanchez, John McLeod, Soraya Atmani and Marie-Christine van den Wijngaart.
